Take a deep breath with the Calm App
Calm, a feeling that can rarely be felt when you've got a busy life, one that rarely occurs when you're busy at work. We may not have the answer to eternal calm but we've certainly found a helpful tool, Calm, the app. 2017 app of the year, 'happiest app in the world', 4.7 star rating, thousands of reviews, suitable for ages 4+, this is just some of the reasons I am a big advocate of 'Calm'.
'Calm can change your life' the app can literally bring calm to your fingertips, a leading mindfulness and meditation app that gives you the headspace to be relaxed, for as little as 15 seconds.
A highlights for me is the breathing exercises, it seems too simple to make any impact but you'd be surprised how much more calm you feel after stopping for just a few moments and how much clarity can come after taking a breath. It's a great way to feel refreshed, take a step back, and clear my head to focus on the day and work in hand.
It's not mystic mindfulness app or spirituality heavy, its simple guidance that can help you day-to-day. Meditation master classes taught by the experts, giving mindfulness lessons for beginners; 'Bedtime' stories to help you drift off and get a deeper sleep; Music and natural sounds; and a Calm body features to rejuvenate you in the morning, reset if you're feeling sluggish in the afternoon, aid in winding down in the evening plus special feature for back care, especially helpful after sitting at a desk all day. Calm is the perfect app for beginners to seasoned pros, to advanced users. It's not often a paid app comes along that I find the worth, but put the time in and you'll reap the rewards.
