ACUMEN ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF TWO NEW DIRECTORS
Leading accountancy and financial services company Acumen Group, has announced Steve Mitchell and Steven McKenzie have both been appointed directors of Acumen Accountants and Advisors Limited with immediate effect.
Steve Mitchell has spent the last 13 years at Acumen, starting as a trainee accountant, before working his way to associate in 2006 and becoming head of corporate commercial and tax dealing with acquisitions and disposals, management buyouts, financial due diligence, restructuring, employee share schemes and strategic reviews and planning.
Steven McKenzie joined Acumen as an associate in January 2007, previously working for Scottish and Southern Energy plc and KPMG. Since his arrival Steven has established Acumen's Edinburgh office and has now become head of accounting and audit in both Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
The pair will work closely together in the Aberdeen office ensuring clients continue to receive a first class service. Business development will be a major part of both men's roles in attracting new income streams to Acumen. Other duties will include recruiting staff and handling the day-to-day responsibilities for Acumen.

Steven McKenzie said: "I am very proud to get the chance to direct and develop the company and working with the people that make up our team.
