ACUMEN APPOINTS NEW GROUP HR MANAGER
The Acumen Group, a leading financial and business services company, has recently appointed Janine Sydenham as group human resources manager.
This newly created position comes at a time when the Aberdeen-based company has created more than 26 jobs at its newly refurbished and expanded Aberdeen premises. Recruitment opportunities at the company are expected to increase over the next quarter due to the group's significant increase in turnover.
Janine Sydenham, a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, began her human resources career with KPMG. After a period in Peterborough as a human resources manager for AMP UK, Janine returned to Scotland where she worked with HBOS and more recently, Anderson Anderson & Brown.
Janine will work to develop the human resources function within The Acumen Group. She said: "My newly created role comes as a direct result of Acumen's vast expansion in recent months. The group expects further significant growth over the next quarter, and as a result, will be looking for additional resources at its Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Peterhead offices."
Managing director of The Acumen Group, Sandy Robertson, said: "The appointment of Janine is key for the company, as Acumen expects to grow considerably over the next 12 months and beyond. Janine possesses a wealth of human resources experience in financial organisations, and her skills and knowledge will be hugely valuable to the continued development of our team."
