ACUMEN EXPANDS ITS FINANCIAL PLANNING SERVICE IN PETERHEAD
The Acumen Group is expanding its financial planning service in Peterhead, and will host an event to mark the occasion on Thursday 24 May. Acumen will be the only company in Peterhead to bring a certified financial planner to the area.
Keith Mackie, a certified financial planner (CFP) with The Acumen Group, will be based in Peterhead every Tuesday and Thursday. He gained CFP status by undergoing the rigorous Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) fast track programme.
In Scotland, there are only 31 CFP licencees, seven of whom are now employed by The Acumen Group, which makes it one of the most qualified companies of its kind in the country.
The CFP licence is more than a qualification. Individuals certified by the IFP have taken the extra step to demonstrate their professionalism by voluntarily submitting to the meticulous licence process, which includes demanding education, examination, experience and ethical requirements.
With more than 20 years' experience in the financial services industry, Keith Mackie is delighted to expand Acumen's financial planning offering in Peterhead. He said: "The Group's decision to develop our financial planning service demonstrates our continued commitment to the individuals and businesses in Peterhead and the north-east of Scotland."
Peterhead will also benefit from the expertise of Acumen's Aberdeen-based team. Keith added: "By offering specialisms such as audits, personal taxation, corporate taxation, life and pensions, investment and management information systems, we are adding value to our existing and new clients. I am looking forward to continuing our growth and development in this area over the coming months and years ahead."
