TWO KEY APPOINTMENTS FOR ACUMEN GROUP

The Acumen Group, one of Scotland's leading financial and business services companies, has added to its capabilities with the appointment of Paula Rae as the Group's senior audit manager. Acumen Financial Planning, a division of the Acumen Group, has also strengthened its team following the appointment of Helen Smith as a financial planner.

Paula qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London in 1992 and previously worked for the Acumen Group as an audit manager. Having secured a position with one of the "Big Four" international accountancy practices, Paula worked in the Channel Islands for five years as a senior audit manager with responsibility for the audit of local offices of major international companies.

Helen Smith joined The Group in February 2006 as a financial planner. She has previously worked in a leading private client law firm and a well established financial planning practice from where she has gained valuable experience. She is a member of the Institute of Financial Planning and holds the financial planning certificate. Helen will be based in The Group's Edinburgh and Glasgow offices providing advice and guidance to clients throughout Scotland on all aspects of financial planning.
